THE CANDIDATE

Embedded Electronics & Firmware Engineer

• A formal electronic/firmware qualification such as HNC/HND/Beng etc

• Knowledge of ATMEL and PIC processors

• Knowledge of analogue design and op amps

• Knowledge of C programming language for ATMEL and PIC processors

• Digital design including basic logic circuits and processor implementation

 

THE ROLE

Embedded Electronics & Firmware Engineer

• Design, develop and support of electronic hardware and firmware which is consistent with the given targets of timescale, cost and technical performance

• Working as a member of a project team, as directed by the Engineering Manager or designated Project Manager, in pursuance of the project targets

• Maintaining an awareness of current hardware and firmware techniques so that these may be adopted as and when necessary

• Working closely with other project team members and liaising with other departments within the company in connection with the roles duties and responsibilities

• Providing, where necessary, off-site engineering support which may include installation of equipment, warranty support, training etc. This could include travel both within the UK and overseas and may involve travel/work outside of normal office hours
