Composite Technician (Trimmer) – Automotive / Motorsport
My client is a world leader in performance engineering within the motorsport industry. They are currently seeking experienced Composite Technicians /Trimmers to conduct various composite engineering task including laminating, trimming, cutting and fitting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the automotive industry preferably performance engineering.

THE SALARY/RATE/BENEFITS
Composite Technician (Trimmer) – Automotive / Motorsport
• £15-£18 per hour ltd
• Based in Oxfordshire
• Initial 6 month contract
• Automotive / Motorsport Background
• Start ASAP

THE CANDIDATE
Composite Technician – Automotive / Motorsport
• Preferably HND / HNC in Motorsport / Automotive Engineering however relevant industry experience will also be considered
• Automotive / Motorsport background and performance engineering background highly desirable
• The ability to read engineering lay-up drawings
• Performing general Composite Technician duties such as trimming, fitting, laminating and cutting

THE ROLE
Composite Technician – Automotive / Motorsport
• Lay-up composite components using laser guidance and ply match systems
• Trimming composite parts
• Read engineering and lay-up drawings
• Prepare prepreg kits on NC cutting tables
• Prepare products for cure and operate autoclaves
• Trim, fit, bond and assemble monocoques and wings
• Perform simple pattern making and weiring tasks
• Ad hoc duties as required by the Engineering Manager
