Business Development Manager/Account Manager

Are you a Business Development Manager? Do you have experience developing short, medium and long terms strategies to ensure the growth of Submarines/Surface Ships business area?  Do you have experience working in the defence or Marine industry sectors?


If so, my client is interested in hearing from you. The company are an established specialist in electronic cabinets, rugged display systems and cathodic protection systems in the marine, defence and commercial markets.

Their rigorous manufacturing quality standards and thorough testing processes have enabled them to achieve a worldwide reputation for quality.

Please note due to the nature of the work all applicants will be required to go through a basic check security clearance – all applicants must have held permanent residency in the UK for the last 6 years.


Business Development Manager/Account Manager

The Business Development Manager will receive:

Business Development Manager/Account Manager

The Business Development Manager will require the following experience:

Essential Skills/Experience

  • A thorough understanding of short to long terms strategies based around submarine/surface ship business areas
  • A strong technical understanding of naval infrastructure, cabinets and consoles on both surface and submarine platforms
  • Knowledge and experience of successfully negotiating and closing commercial contracts
  • Naval/Defence background



Business Development Manager/Account Manager

As the successful Business Development Manager you will be:

  • Responsible for identifying and soliciting new defence/naval marketing opportunities
  • Preparing and presenting regular sales and order forecasts against defined budgets and providing regular reports to the Sales & Marketing Directors
  • Closing sales opportunities, ensuring T&C’s comply with targets and company guidelines
